“You think so? I do too!”
Sophie took it especially hard when Howl said there wasn’t a point in living if he wasn’t beautiful because he basically implied that she herself had no point in living. I love that, by helping Howl to find his heart, Sophie also strengthens her own in the sense that she gains confidence in her own beauty. It’s telling how Howl compliments her silver hair, since silver hair is generally a mark of old age and wisdom. In a way, both of them have matured since the beginning of the movie, and it’s almost as if he’s complimenting her for this too. What I think is most wonderful about the scene where he calls her hair beautiful is that it’s probably one of the first truly heartfelt compliments he’s given anyone since he lost his heart as a boy. He always had a charm about him, but before meeting Sophie it was pretty obvious that it was superficial given his self-absorbed attitude.

Has been a good day, I’m currently reading a yuri comic called Aido, the characters are amazing the only thing that bothers me (not really, it just makes me laugh) is that the women in this comic actually take the time to involve society’s opinion of homosexuality and how they are strong enough not to pay attention to the stupidity around then when it comes to relationships that are seen as “abnormal” but when it comes to yaoi it’s all about the characters falling in love instantly and every single one of their friends accepting it and the characters don’t even think twice about the world around them or how they might be viewed. Maybe I’m just a masochist when it comes to stories that deal with love, who fucking knows. Other than that I’ve been really calm, I didn’t get much sleep and completely forgot about my ipod so I was left without music for the day. But during that time, I went on YouTube for a bit and rediscovered one of my favorite bands called Brown Bird, the song that speaks to me the most is Bilgewater, something about the singers voice that sends shivers down my spine, if you don’t believe me, listen to it yourself.
That’s enough for today.
